The book is signed by Jan Švankmajer

The book “Insects” is a documentary about the preparation and course of the film shooting. The introduction was written by František Dryje, a member of the Prague surrealist group and a long- time friend of Jan Švankmajer. We also included an article by Jan Bernard, a film critic, said in the film magazine “Film a doba” in spring 2018 for the film premiere in Prague. In addition to basic ideas, foreword, film story, treatment, preliminary notes and Jan Švankmajer’s diary, the book contains producer´s and technical informations. It also features the actors and the film crew, members of the Film Production Company “Athanor” and a lot of stilles…. The book is published in Czech-English version

Kniha je podepsaná Janem Švankmajerem

Kniha „Hmyz“ je dokumentem o přípravě a průběhu natáčení filmu. Úvod napsal František Dryje, člen pražské surrealistické skupiny a dlouholetý přítel Jana Švankmajera. Také jsme zahrnuli článek Jana Bernarda, filmového kritika, který uvedl na jaře 2018 ve filmovém časopise “Film a doba” pro premiéru v Praze. Kniha kromě základních myšlenek, předmluvy, filmového příběhu, zpracování, předběžných poznámek a deníku Jana Švankmajera obsahuje i producentské a technické informace. Uvádí také herce a filmovou posádku, členy filmové produkční společnosti “Athanor” a spoustu fotografií …. Knížka je vydána v česko-anglické verzi
